This is a thick jacket that will protect you from the elements. However, I found it to be on the stiff side and somewhat burdensome to wear. I never eneded up running in it as I decided to return for a more flexible jacket. This one just didn't seem like it would breathe inside, the fabric lining at the back had ventilation but was plastic-y. The thumb holes are double fabric and the outer fabric is rough and plastic-y, again.
