EDIT: It's been almost a year, and these shoes have become favorites. They're so easy to slip on and go, the style is versatile, and yes, I would even say they've become comfortable. They're still heavy, but I've gotten used to them. They never rub or pinch, even on 20,000 step days.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I don't normally require a wide width, but after reading reviews on other sites and considering the style of the shoe, I decided to order a wide size. Wow, am I glad I did! These shoes, even in a wide width, are a bit narrow. The inside is nicely finished with buttery soft leather - no rough edges or irritating seams. The dusty mauve is a barely pink tan - nice, and much more neutral than expected. But are they comfortable? Ehhhh...sort of. The insole feels soft and cushiony, but the shoe is much heavier than expected, and feels rather clunky. When I first started wearing them, the heaviness caused me to trip a few times. I quickly got used to them and stopped tripping, but I never forgot they were on my feet. They're cute and well made, but will never be comfort shoes.
